2020 Board Nominees

Robert Mancey

AvenueWest DTC

What background or experience do you have that might qualify you for the Board of Directors?

I have held similar roles, currently as Chairman of the Board and President of the Canada Colorado Association (www.CanadaColorado.com); Past President, Treasurer, and Board Member of Highlands460 Civic Association; Cubmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster, Boy Scouts of America (Littleton). (I.e. very familiar with community based, volunteer organizations)

What are your goals and objectives in becoming a Board member? What would you like to accomplish while on the Board?

My desire is to make a positive contribution to the trade organization of which my company is apart, to help "raise the tide that floats all boats" in our industry...the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council.

What suggestions do you have to make RMRC a better association?

Ensure the content and VALUE produced by the RMRC is top quality, second to none, for all CORPORATE members; so valuable that every company in the Rocky Mountain region, which relocate employees, will feel compelled to participate, otherwise fearing missing out. (e.g. #1 Create an industry forum where corporate peers in global mobility can gather and exchange learning and war stories).

Katie Rudnick

TIAA Bank

What background or experience do you have that might qualify you for the Board of Directors?

I have been actively involved with many regional group boards over the last 14 years. Including the following board positions:
PRC: President, Vice President, Past President, Education, Communications.
PSRC: Treasurer, Sponsorship
MERC: Website, Communications, Membership
BAMM: Conference Committee

Going into 2021 I will be VP of PRC as my only other regional commitment. I have the full support of my employer to commit to the time and travel to pursue RMRC board position and would be happy to help in any area that is needed.

What are your goals and objectives in becoming a Board member? What would you like to accomplish while on the Board?

I thoroughly enjoy participating in regional boards. I know how much work it is to make an organization successful and as I continue to focus on the Denver market and am stepping off of another board for a bit I would love to work with the RMRC board to continue its amazing growth over the years.

What suggestions do you have to make RMRC a better association?

I think RMRC like Portland has an opportunity to continue to balance education and fun. To make it not only grow locally but make it something that those who do not live in the market but cover it want to make sure they never miss one. Some regionals feel like obligations others you can’t wait for the next one!

Jennifer Thorsen

LIV Sotheby`s International Realty

What background or experience do you have that might qualify you for the Board of Directors?

I have 12 years’ experience working in various roles in the relocation industry. I am currently the Cartus Account Manager at LIV Sotheby’s International Realty and I’ve been in that role for 6 years. In that time, I have helped grow the department and we have won multiple awards including the prestigious Cartus Masters Cup award in 2017.

What are your goals and objectives in becoming a Board member? What would you like to accomplish while on the Board?

I would like to support the relocation industry the best I can so we can continue to grow and thrive. My main objective would be to connect industry professionals to help expand their business in a mutually beneficial manner. I believe I can accomplish this by utilizing my experience and organizational skills to add value to the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council. I would feel accomplished if the organization was larger and more active in the business community at the end of my term.

What suggestions do you have to make RMRC a better association?

RMRC is already a great association, but with that being said, there is always room for improvement. I have always brought new ideas and perspectives to any challenge and I would strive to do the same here. If I am elected as a board member, I will be able to generate specific ideas to help grow the association in a positive manner.
